PART FINSHER

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

Performs finishing operations- sanding, polishing, deburring, and media blasting. Demonstrates ability to work as part of the production team to ensure that parts are properly finished and de-burred in preparation for final finishing processes.

Position Accountabilities

1. Familiar with and demonstrates knowledge of metal finishing techniques

2. Operate a grinder to remove scratches and imperfections from metal pieces.

3. Polish ground areas to produce a smooth, unmarred surface.

4. Operate deburring and tooling machines to perform deburring, grinding, blending, buffing, tumbling operations on metal products.

5. Inspects product surfaces for defects and repair if needed.

6. Performs and maintains regular maintenance checks and repairs on tools and equipment.

7. Capable of comprehending work order printouts and follow through with completing work orders.

8. Able to work at an efficient rate and timely manner; capable of completing tasks within a given deadline.

9. Communicates with supervising staff when tool equipment purchases are needed.

10. Maintains a clean and organized workspace complying with company’s safety procedures, rules, and regulations and perform maintenance duties when required.

11. Keeps equipment operation by completing all required preventive maintenance, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling or requesting repairs.

Position Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: 11+ years of metal and plastic finishing experience preferred

Technical:

1. Attention to detail.

2. Physically fit to be able to work standing for 8-hour period and lift-up to 50lbs.

3. Ability to bend and twist upper and lower body.

4. Conscientious of safety.

5. Tolerant of dusty environment

6. Positive attitude and be able to work in a team environment

7. Dependable and strong work ethic. Capability of working independently or as a team.

8. Be able to work overtime as needed.
