SHIPPING PROHIBITIONS State statutes and/or local ordinances prohibit the sale and possession of air guns in some areas.
Statement of Buyer (You will be asked to verify this statement during checkout.) I certify that I am 18 years of age or older. I understand that AirForce Airguns does not authorize that I may legally purchase, possess, carry or utilize air guns, pellets, or any other items, which I may order from AirForce Airguns. In accordance with my country, state, province, or local laws, I have determined the legality of the items I am purchasing and certify that I am an adult and under no other legal prohibition.
Anybody who wishes to purchase an airgun product from AirForce Airguns is expected to know their state and local laws and comply fully with them. For your information the following are examples of state laws governing air gun products:
Residents of CHICAGO, IL cannot buy airguns directly from us.
Residents of IL cannot buy air guns over .18 caliber directly from us. (effective July 13,2012: There is no velocity limit on airguns below .18 caliber)
MICHIGAN RESIDENTS .177 CALIBER AIR RIFLES AND SMOOTH BORE AIR PISTOLS CAN BE PURCHASED DIRECTLY.
No air pistols (other than smooth bore) of any caliber can be sold to you unless the proper permits are issued by the State and local authorities. Guns that are 30" or less in overall length are regulated by the State and require a concealed gun permit or a state license to purchase a pistol.
According to Michigan law Sec. 222. As used in this chapter: (b) "Firearm" means a weapon from which a dangerous projectile may be propelled by an explosive, or by gas or air. Firearm does not include a smooth bore rifle or handgun designed and manufactured exclusively for propelling by a spring, or by gas or air, BB's not exceeding .177 caliber.
Guns that have silencers or baffles (either internal or external) that will silence, muffle or in any way reduce the report (sound) of an airgun.
Michigan residents, if you would like to purchase something other than a .177 caliber air rifle, we will ship it to you, however you will have to follow the steps below:
1. Inform our company of the item you want to purchase.
2. The item will be shipped to the designated dealer/retailer in your area. Your job is to find a participating dealer/retailer and let us know where to ship your gun.
3. Go to your local police department to obtain a Permit to Purchase the airgun. Each airgun purchase must have a separate Permit.
4. After the Permit is issued to you by the Police take it to the gun store where your gun will be shipped.
5. After the Permit is presented to the store and the fee is paid they will hand over the airgun to you.
6. Take the airgun back to the police department, where they will conduct a safety check and ballistics test.
7. After it is determined that the gun is safe and tests are conducted you will be ready to take the airgun home.
Residents of NEW JERSEY can buy airguns through a designated local gun store after acquiring the appropriate firearm permit (Airguns are considered firearms per NJ state law: Title 2C:39-1). Cite from New Jersey law: "A 'firearm' means any handgun, rifle, shotgun, air gun, gas gun, machine gun, or 'any gun'." Your local gun store must fax a copy of their FFL to us before we will ship the gun you ordered.
Based on the state law we do NOT and can NOT ship airguns to New York City and its boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, these zip codes are: 100xx-104xx, 111xx, 112xx-114xx, 116xx ), the city of Philadelphia, PA and Washington DC .
We cannot ship airguns to addresses within Johnson City, TN.
CANADIAN RESIDENTS It is unlawful to ship airguns that meet or exceed 500 feet per second to Canada. Any gun that looks like a real firearm is not being allowed to cross the United States / Canadian border. It is recommended that you contact your local sporting goods or firearms dealer to acquire an airgun offered by AirForce Airguns. It is your duty to know and obey the laws that govern your country, province, and/or city. |
